Find MAC Addresses for Common Devices
Students must register gaming consoles, smart TVs, digital media players and other devices for the MU Open Wi-Fi network. To register those devices, you'll need to find the device's MAC address — short for Media Access Control. Follow these instructions for common devices.

- Go to the Apple TV home screen and select Settings.
- Select General and then select About.
- Look for "Wi-Fi Address."

Note: You need a Wi-Fi hotspot to locate the Chromecast MAC address.
- Join the Wi-Fi hotspot created with your phone.
- Power on/connect your Chromecast to the TV and run the Google Home setup utility.
- Follow all the prompts until you get to the Wi-Fi setup screen.
- The Chromecast should connect to your Hotspot Wi-Fi.
- To locate the MAC Address, open the Google Home app on your phone/tablet and select Devices at the top of the screen.
- Locate your Chromecast and select the ellipsis (...) located at the top right of your device.
- Select Device Settings and find your MAC address at the bottom of the screen.
