Formerly known as Office, Microsoft 365 is a productivity suite of products and online services. This FAQ only covers Microsoft 365 desktop and mobile software.
Can I install Microsoft 365 on multiple devices?
Yes, you can install Microsoft 365 for free on up to five personally owned computers (Windows or macOS) and up to five mobile devices. Faculty and Staff: Note that university-owned computers should have Microsoft 365 apps already installed.
What's included in Microsoft 365 desktop software?

- Outlook (email, calendar, and tasks)
- Teams (collaboration and video conferencing)
- OneDrive (file storage)

Can I see how many of my Microsoft 365 licenses I've used?
Yes, Microsoft 365 keeps track of device installations. See "Look Up Microsoft 365 Licenses in Use."
How long can students keep a Microsoft 365 subscription?
Microsoft 365 and OneDrive file storage are available to students only while enrolled at Marquette University. Students who leave prior to graduating may have their accounts disabled immediately, which includes access to Microsoft 365 software and OneDrive file storage. New graduates retain access to Microsoft 365 software and OneDrive file storage for approximately one year after the term they graduate. Be sure to transfer all of your OneDrive files before you leave Marquette.
How long can faculty and staff keep a Microsoft 365 subscription?
Microsoft 365 and OneDrive file storage are available to faculty and staff only while employed at Marquette University.
