About Adobe Software
What's Adobe?
Adobe offers commercial software for graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography. Most Adobe products are available through Creative Cloud.
For Students
Visit Raynor Library for Adobe software on Windows computers, iMacs or MacBook laptops. Also, Adobe.com offers Creative Cloud academic discounts for personally owned devices.
For Departments: Subscribe to Creative Cloud
Creative Cloud is an annual subscription, and the contract year begins in August. Subscriptions automatically renew each year — unless IT Services is notified before August. There are two types of licenses: a device license and a named license. Device licenses are for shared and lab computers. Everyone else must buy a named license.
When ordering, identify which type of Creative Cloud license: named or device.
- Named license — $142.00 per year
- Device license — $188.85 per year
Note: Use an Internal Billing Form for new Creative Cloud annual subscriptions. If the subscription is to replace a former faculty or staff member, provide the name of the former employee in the IBF. A new subscription may not be needed.
List the license type — named or device — in the Internal Billing Form (Campus Access only). Email the completed IBF to purchasing@marquette.edu. The Purchasing Department reviews the IBF and submits to IT Services for installation.
Adobe Acrobat
IT Services is currently working on a PDF solution to replace Adobe Acrobat. Adobe no longer offers a perpetual version nor a subscription version at a competitive price vs. Creative Cloud. In the meantime, please have ITS triage your current PDF needs to see if anything above Acrobat Reader is needed. Currently, a Creative Cloud license is the only program that covers the full PDF needs that Adobe Acrobat provided.
