Fixing Errors in MyJob
When selecting a payslip or W-2 statement in MyJob, you may see the above error message instead of the PDF file. If you cannot open a PDF from MyJob, the trouble could be the Adobe Acrobat extension in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Follow these steps to disable the Adobe Acrobat extension.
Google Chrome
- In the upper right of Chrome, click or tap the three-dots menu icon (⁝) and select Settings.
- The Chrome settings page appears in a new browser tab or window. In the left column, select Extensions.
- The Extensions page opens in a new browser tab or window. Locate the Adobe Acrobat extension. If not found, contact the IT Services TechSquad for help. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
- Note the switch for Adobe Acrobat. If the switch is blue and toggled to the right, it's active. Click or tap the switch to turn off the switch, making it gray and toggled to the left. You've disabled the Adobe Acrobat extension in Chrome.
- Try accessing the PDF in MyJob again.
Microsoft Edge
- In Edge, look to the right of the browser address bar and note the puzzle-piece icon for Extensions.
- Click or tap the Extensions icon and select "Manage Extensions."
- The Edge Extensions page appears in a new browser tab or window. Locate the Adobe Acrobat extension listing. If not found, contact the IT Services TechSquad for help. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
- Note the switch for Adobe Acrobat. If the switch is blue and toggled to the right, it's active. Click or tap the switch to turn off the switch, making it monochromatic and toggled to the left. You've disabled the Adobe Acrobat extension in Edge.
- Try accessing the PDF in MyJob again.
Downloading PDF Files from MyJob
You're successfully viewing a MyJob PDF in your web browser. Now you want to download the PDF.
Important: Do not use the web browser's download icon. If you use the download icon, you'll download an error message webpage — and not the PDF file.
Instead of downloading the file, follow these steps.
- Select the Print icon from your web browser. A print prompt appears.
- Select the "Save as PDF" option. (Windows users may also use "Microsoft Print to PDF" and click or tap Print.)
- Select a destination on your device for the PDF download.
- Click or tap Save.
- Open the PDF file to confirm a successful download.
If an error message occurs with the print option, clear your web browser cache and try again. Or log in to MyJob with a different browser and retry the print option.
