Changes to Printing on Campus for Fall 2024
Major changes were made to the campus printing system over the summer of 2024. Students, faculty, and staff now use one system for printing, PrintWise. Here's what you need to know:
A Unified Printing Solution
Before summer of 2024, there were two separate printing solutions on campus-- one for students, and another for faculty and staff. Each multifunction device (MFD) on campus was connected to one or the other printing system. Students could not use department printing MFDs, and faculty and staff could not use PrintWise MFDs.
Now, students, faculty, and staff all use the same printing solution. This unified PrintWise system enables students, faculty, and staff to print from any MFD. It also enables better service and overall cost savings to the university.
Print By Email
You can now submit print jobs via email to printwise@marquette.edu from your Marquette email account. Attachments will appear in your Secure Print queue when you swipe into the MFD. This is ideal for printing from mobile devices and an alternative to installing print drivers on your laptop or desktop.

New Print Drivers For Students
If you would rather install a print driver on your Windows or Mac laptop or desktop, you'll need a new print driver. Follow these instructions to install the new Student_PrintWise driver:
Students should uninstall the old PrintWise (Pharos) drivers from their devices, as they no longer work. The old PrintWise drivers were called V1.BW.PrintWise.F19 and V1.Color.PrintWise.F19.
New Print Drivers for Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff will also need a new print driver, Faculty_Staff_PrintWise. Marquette-issued devices should receive this new driver automatically.
Manual install instructions are available for troubleshooting purposes or for non-Marquette-issued devices:
Under the former department printing system, faculty and staff used the Blue and Gold drivers. The old drivers no longer work and IT Services will remove them automatically from Marquette-issued devices. If you still see the old drivers on your device, ignore them and use Faculty_Staff_PrintWise instead.

Paper Purchases
PrintWise paper for all MFDs is now centrally-funded. Department staff should review PrintWise Paper Purchases for ordering instructions.
